Warm, inviting and a unique restaurant experience. The owner takes pride in what feels like an invitation to their home. We've eaten here nearly a half dozen times in the past year. There is a reason, it's fun, reasonably priced, and tasty. There are a bunch of different eating environments here. If you want to do the outside booth, go for it. If you want to get your typical table, it's yours. Perhaps you are a flower child and want to jam to some live music, you can do that. And if you just want to jump on the couch and chill like you're in your home, that's there too. As long as you don't have any issue with a few partially-naked photos of women on some tables. Don't worry, they're tasteful (think boudoir photo shoot from the 30's). The owner always makes an effort to welcome you into her home. We always manage to see her when she's there. She is usually the one cooking everything, so when she does come onto the floor, it's to say hello to the patrons. You can get some wine, beer, or whatever floats your boat. There are some unique choices. Make sure you dive into the drink book, it's a fun read. They do have a couples night, but I can't recall the special off the top of my head, but it's worthwhile. This is definitely a place for couples and groups, but there are families here at times. It is usually a young couple with a baby. This place hits the 25+ crowd perfectly. Give a call to check if there is a live musician and sometimes the crowd may get a little older depending on who is playing. If I can recommend anything, the chips with the blue cheese drizzle appetizer is amazing. There is also a very good chicken crepe that I tend to order as well. There are some vegetarian dishes, so there are options for everyone.

I was in town for the week and did some extensive research before heading to the West Palm/Boynton Beach area. While doing some leg work, I came across The Living Room and their eclectic menu. What caught my eye the most was that it was a tapas/wine bar type joint but they also served up entrees. I was also impressed with the reviews as well so it made the cut, and made my list. My family and I went on a Saturday night and we had a reservation for 7 o'clock for 6 people. When we arrived it wasn't too busy and while they had a table set up for us inside we opted to sit outside (It's too cold for that in NYC right now so I was rather excited!!). The owner, Lisa is an absolute doll and more than willing to to accommodate her customers. We reviewed the menu along with the specials and finally came to decisions. For starters: hummus with pita baked from a middle eastern bakery and the homemade gorganzola chips. The hummus platter was a little on the smaller side but it is a tapas type dish. The pita bread, Ohhhh my!! I've got to find this bakery because it was some of the best pita bread I've ever had. The seasoning, which I'm thinking was za'taar, was outstanding. And the hummus was just as good. Now, the homemade chips. These were homemade, get over yourself greasy potato chips with tons of melted gorganzola on top. Ummm how can you go wrong here? The cheese was on top and the chips were delicious and warm. After finishing our apps, it started to rain so we asked if we could move inside and it wasn't an issue. They us the table that they had originally set for us, so that worked out perfectly. When I had gone in to see if we could get a table, there was a woman hoping to get a table for her and her husband and Lisa just replied, no reserve, no luck! This place was jammin'. So now onto more food, the important things. For entrees: the party got, shepards pie, pork chops, steak tacos, fish tacos, roast beef sandwich and the spinach crepes. Everyone really enjoyed their meal, and the steak tacos are no longer on the menu just so everyone knows but they happened have one order left? Kind of odd but hey it worked. I was also told that the pork chops were rather tough and not that enjoyable. The roast beef sandwich, which had been cooking all day got good feedback, although the bread wasn't my grandmothers favorite. I did try the fish tacos and they were very boring which was kind of a bust, and I almost ordered those so I'm happy I didn't. I also felt they could have been a little more creative with their sides, rather than just steamed veggies, they were good and I'm all for veggies, but sometimes it's about presentation too. I had the vegetarian spinach crepes. This is an absolute must if you're going to have a meal here. Everyone at the table loved my dish and I'm extremely happy I have left overs for lunch tomorrow. It was also a really generous portion too, it was three crepes chuck full of veggie goodness!! I can't exactly put my finger on the all the veggies but it was a lot of spinach and mushrooms with an amazing drizzle of balsamic. And of course no meal is complete without dessert. On the specials menu was a pumpkin pie and currently I'm in love with all things pumpkin so that was a must. I did also see in numerous reviews that the peanut butter is also a must, so of course we ordered it and our waitress also suggested it. The pumpkin pie was warm, full of cinnamon, graham cracker and pumpkin flavor, drizzled with chocolate and caramel, it was the perfect way to end my meal. And while the peanut butter pie was good, it was far too rich to actually keep going back for more. The owner did mention though, that the recipe is online! Go get it!! The service was great and attentive. We took note that most of the staff is female which I really enjoy! Us ladies know how to get things done. And the decor of this place, while it looks somewhat like a jumbled mess of items, it all works really well together and each section of the restaurant just flows perfectly.

Outside seating is so charming, while the inside looks like a yard sale exploded. Mix matched couches, tables, vintage signs and lamps. I didn't know if I would like the place because it had an older vibe... I almost expected it to smell of mothballs. It grew on me pretty quickly though. We just so happened to come on their Open Mic Night (Wednesdays). I do love me a theme night! Every act was way more talented than I would have expected. Definitely will come back for more of that! Service was really friendly and welcoming! As for the menu, they offer a bunch of wine and unique beers on tap. Dessert menu was a little weak though. We had a Groupon and only went for dessert and drinks so I can't comment on the rest of the menu just yet. Beth's Tip: When I checked in here on Yelp, I got an instant 20% off lunch coupon.

Place is funky and has a great menu... we ordered the spinach dip and pretzels, both excellent and I had the black bean patties for dinner which were excellent. Only odd thing was it was 7pm on a Saturday and everybody, but us, was older... and I mean senior citizen. lol. Not sure if it gets youger later or different nights, they had a nice outdoor area but it was too cold to sit outside.

Delicious comfort food. Everything from chicken pot pie to fondue s'mores! Large selection of wine. Comfy living room type atmosphere with couches and games to play for all. Great for a quaint romantic night. Outdoor fire pits are also lit occasionally when the night calls for some heating up.

Came here on a Saturday with two others for dinner. Didn't know that reservations were needed in order to score a seat inside, and was disappointed, as the decor and set-up was really cool. So we took a seat outside, which was ok, because it was a beautiful night. We could still hear the live music playing from where we were seated. The menu is pretty eclectic - it runs the gamut from vindaloo to sheperd's pie to crepes and mac and cheese. Plus it has more than one item that you'd see in an English pub, including fish and chips and steak and mushroom pie. My husband wasn't very hungry so he ordered the Italian meatballs on a bed of pasta. He said the meatballs were light, fluffy and tasty and he cleaned his plate. My friend and I both ordered the stuffed chicken, which was a chicken breast stuffed with apple walnut stuffing and covered with gravy. It was pretty good. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and "steamed" vegetables (broccoli and carrots) which were actually raw, so one star comes off for that - and the fact that our entrees took almost an hour to arrive. Still, the food was good and I want to go back because the menu is very interesting - so I plan on returning there soon.

I use to really enjoy coming here, they have a lot of different things to try, and the wine is phenomenal. However, I went here for lunch and they wouldn't take our Groupon, even though we purchased the lunch one. The food is usually pretty good, and the grilled cheese bread bowl is awesome. I thought the waitress was extremely rude, and the manager/possible owner was a little snappy. The atmosphere is awesome, I really enjoy live mic night. I would say go.

We had two plates of meatballs with pita bread. It was frankly disgusting. How you can screw up beef ,eggs , oregano, bread crumbs etc. is beyond understanding. My guy companion was nauseous enough to want to leave. The specter of dessert had us beating a hasty retreat. The pita bread was super salty and soft like wonder bread. Maybe they got it at that other bastion of haute cuisine ---Panera. Yet this place got great reviews here on yelp. Take a twenty dollar bill ,light it on fire, watch it burn. decor is chick bar. and i don't mean sheek!

My wife and I walked in early last evening famished after a day of home projects, it seemed we were the first customers of the evening as we crest the threshold. We could see only one employee and she was sitting a bit toward the front. After a few awkward moments of silence wherein we were not clear if the restaurant was open or even if we should be there, I called out 'Hello'. Still no response. I tried again a bit more apprehensive, 'Are you open? Are we too early.' With an air of indignation at having been inconvenienced the employee stood and started our way only to be interrupted by someone else who came from the back to ask a question. After a brief intercourse, the person who begrudgingly started our way continued her course only to greet me with the words, 'What confused you, the open door?' I was shocked beyond speech and when asked 'Couch or table' could only respond, "we'll go somewhere else." And we did. In fact, we went to the Temple Orange and are still amazed at how wonderful our meal (and greeting) was. Glad to know that The Living Room is so successful it can be so ambivalent to its customers; however, I am not one to pay to be belittled.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago with a friend. My friend and I are both vegetarians; therefore, our options are limited at this location. We started off looking at their amazing wine list. Then we ordered our wine, while we kept looking through the food menu. We both ordered the two pizza options that are available. I ordered the pear pizza. I did not know it was covered in onions (which I am not a fan of). I attempted to eat it since there was nothing else on the menu that I could order anyway. Even pretending to myself that there was no onions, there was nothing about this pizza that I liked. What I did like about this restaurant is the atmosphere. Its very comfortable and relaxing. I would never go here again to eat. However, if I wanted to have a glass of wine in a nice place, then this would be on my list of things to do.....

We came here to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and it was a group and we were very well accomodated. I tried the spinach dip appetizer and the baked brie both of which were tasty. I had a crispy duck wing that one of the others ordered and I loved it and could have eaten a plate of them. I also had a bite of the crabby mac which was very yummy. I split the crab cakes with my husband because I was almost full at that time and I wanted to save some room for the yummy chocolate birthday cake that was made by the owner and topped with tons of chocolate covered strawberries. We spent hours there, drinking, eating and celebrating all while a live band played 90's sublime and 311 esque cover songs for us. That was pretty much perfect as our friends love all those bands from the 90's!! I can imagine myself coming back here perhaps on my upcoming birthday!!

I've been to this restaurant on 2 occasions. The first visit was with my friend and we really loved the food and the decor. I talked about it so much that my husband wanted to try it too. Him and I went and were greeted after about 3 minutes of just standing inside the door. We were asked if we had reservations and replied no, her response was to give us a dirty look. I looked around and most of the tables were empty, maybe since it was a Tuesday night. We were seated at a booth and ignored until we asked if we had a server. Finally our orders were taken and it seemed to take forever for our food to come out. We sat with empty water glasses, even though 2 servers walked by our table several times and they even LOOKED at our empty glasses. We finally had to ask for more water. The hostess, which could have been the manager or even the owner, was drinking wine the whole time we were there. I thought that was a little unprofessional. Aside from being ignored and the empty water glasses, the food is pretty decent, but overpriced.

I have been to this place 3 times. While the decor & atmosphere is fun & fantastic the wait staff & food wasn't that great. Confusion between the wait staff needs to be addressed. Its a nice concept to have staff share in the responsibility's of guests but when they don't talk to one another I can see why they get confused. On the other hand I like a little personalization. To get to know our waiter/waitress. I had no idea what anyone's name even was. One of the wait staff was so obviously new as well or had little to no experience. The wait for everything was too long as well considering there was only 2 of us and it wasn't all that busy. As for the food. I've had a few different items and came back specifically for the Mac & cheese & caprese salad. I was informed they no longer make the Mac & cheese- BIG mistake- it was wonderful! When we received the salad it was totally different with no avocado, as advertised, and drowning in balsamic. My pasta Tuscana had enough sun dried tomatoes for at least 4 plates of pasta. Overkill. My husband ordered the bangers which were flavorless and "microwave burnt" on the bottom side of each one. Not edible at all. The inconsistency of the staff & food deter us from going back for dinner. It really is a shame because it's a comfortable place to sit & hang out. I hope the owner & management turn this around. They need a more experienced staff & chef. No chef would send sausage to a customer that was microwaved. The waste from my pasta toppings loses money for the owner. I think with some serious work & training this could be a great place to return to week after week but until some changes are made we'll keep searching for a new regular place to go every weekend. I really hate leaving bad reviews or complaining but this place seems a lil confused & would love to see it succeed!

We had a blast last Thursday night at open mic night. The ambience reminded us of a restaurant lounge we went to years ago on the Upper East Side, NYC. We only wish we'd found this place sooner. The decor was very warm and welcoming; the musicians were great; and the appetizers we ordered were excellent. I do wish they had cleared our plates sooner, but that's ok. Probably just an oversite. I saw that they had outdoor seating too. Maybe next time, we'll sit out there. All-in-all, this was the best open mic night we've been to in the area. The audio was clear and at a volume that we could still have a conversation at the table without shouting or having to strain. I really liked that. Once we've built up some courage (and musical talent), my wife and I may even try performing. HA! :)

Awesome for a date, this place has everything. Good dishes, good choices of drinks, live music great desserts and nice atmosphere. Nevertheless the owner is always present and attentive to detail. Me and the wifey order for drinks sangria and raspberry iced tea, the main plates where just a delight. It consisted of a grilled cheese bread bowl with a salad, I'm not big on dressing on salads but this one was welcome in my taste buds. I ordered the spinach florentine crepes with chicken and all I can say is that I cleaned the plate. I am big on desserts and the menu had something that caught my eye right away, s'mores! And expecting something already prepared they brought us everything we needed to make our own in the table. Definitely an experience! It was then when my stomach, mind and heart were happy from the meal I just had.

Let me start by saying it is a cute cute place. Nice and cozy and the out door seating is great, unless it's cold because there is nothing to help stay warm out there. Now let's get to the food. The Brie was horrible the first time they brought it out. A brick would be a great description. They quickly took it back and brought a new one. It was fantastic. Fresh fruit and crackers. The Gorgonzola chips are a must! Delicious. We also ordered the coconut shrimp. It was also very good. I got the beef tips with mashed potatoes. Had to ask for more gravy and the meat was tough. Now on to the service. Horrible. Only words to use. How many times should a customer have to flag down a server? Apparently a lot! I might go back for the Brie and chips, but that's it and I won't expect good service, well because there isn't any. So if you want pretty good food but barely any service, this is the place for you.

Went out today with my friends had an awesome time. All yummy, yummy . Mac and cheese was so good. The spinach deep was also good, and let's not forget the flatbread with pears, no words to say how yummy all this was. Great place for a girls night out.

UPDATE BELOW ORIGINAL: Split score I went to The Living Room for a birthday party and the service was excellent even with 14 people in our party. The food was delicious (I went with the chef's special). The roast beef was very tender and TLR actually steamed the vegetable appropriately. The broccoli was cooked and not soggy and the carrots were cooked through and not too tough. Without wine or liquor expect to spend 20 per person for a meal. With wine and desert think about 30 or so before tip. Food 4* Ambiance 4* Service 4* p.s. the musician playing was good, not too loud, and sounded great. A nice compliment to our meal. UPDATE: I went back to The Living Room and my experience was not nearly as good. We were shuffled over to the "quieter" room that had no theme and no ambiance. They also seem to have added even more outside tables but they were shabby, dark, and looked haphazardly arranged. The food was ok but my dining partner ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was heavily coated in cream and garlic but had no real flavor. The garlic was extremely overpowering for a person that loved to cook with fresh garlic so... take that as you will. I ordered the shepherd's pie and it was fine and there was nothing wrong with it but it did not wow. It seemed that extra cheese was added instead of flavor in the original dish. The service was really odd. Every single server in the restaurant was at our table at one time or another and that was more than 7 people. While we certainly didn't want for service what we would have liked was a chance to eat our not-so-flavorful food in peace but as there seems to be no set service area for each waitress, every single one of them came up to ask if we needed something or if we were enjoying ourselves. After I started counting we had 9 interruptions and I assume nearly as many before I began counting. Food 2* Ambiance 2* Service 3*

My husband and I have been here a few times so far. I recommend making reservations ahead of time so you are sure to get a comfy cozy place to eat. Only once did I have a bad experience, and that was over the phone to make reservations. The woman answering the phone was huffing and puffing like I put her out of her way. When I told her this is one of our favorite places to go and I don't appreciate her tone of voice, she said she is sorry but she's having a bad day and she has some things going on at home. Haven't been back since but the times before were good. I've never been anywhere like the living room before, besides eating in my own living room ;) I'm a picky eater- everything on this menu sounds appealing to me. I personally like the coconut shrimp and the baked Mac n cheese. The owner has came up to us and introduced herself and talked with us both times.

Great Atmosphere. Great Food. Really Cozy Feel to the place with low lighting and couches around. I recommend this place for a date night(no kids). And a full Bar.....The only downfall was their Shepherds Pie....very bland.

I would give this place one star except that the decor and ambiance are truly unique. I've been twice and was never wowed beyond the initial impression this place makes. Once inside the doors, it is a let down. The food was mediocre, but good enough that i would overlook it for the experience. The problem is the ownership/management. The blonde woman that runs the place is really rude. There are reviews by others that suggest the "hostess" was rude. I assure you most of them are very sweet. Unfortunately, i cannot bring myself to support that woman in any way. What a bummer she has to be a part of one of the coolest and most unique restaurants in the area.

You can't beat the sparkly, effervescent decor here or the excellent, low-key acoustic music and jazz (such a relief, not to be hit over the head with loud rock.) If I liked the food and service better, I'd be a regular. (The waitresses use their skimpy outfits to great effect with the male customers, but they are a bit slow to take your order or bring your food.) Still, we'll give it another try next winter. With a bit of improvement in the range and quality of the menu offerings, and a less laconic staff, this could be a great place.

So decided to have dinner at this place and it's super cute inside!!! It's dim but the decor is awesome. There's so much to look at, they have booths, sofa seating areas, big chairs, small chairs, outdoor seating area with campfires and a bar. Its just set up so well. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer about $7-8 bucks. The coconut shrimp was delicious, the sauce not so great. I have no idea was it was but me no like :). Portions were ok. We also order the crab cakes. Those were yummy. This place would be nice for a birthday gathering, friday night gathering, etc. I will def be coming back to this place.

After reading about this place, we finally made time to use our Groupon for a cozy little dinner in Boynton. Thank goodness we had the Groupon, because this didn't earn us as loyal diners, but DID earn us as loyal dessert enthusiasts! We just experienced Boca pricing in Boynton Beach. I'll skip what's already been said about the cool little living rooms set up on the inside of the restaurant and fast forward to our specific set-up. We chose a living room hidden toward the back for the maximum in privacy. Why I felt we needed this privacy, I really don't know. We could still hear the music clearly, and on this Sunday evening we were entertained by a duo singing Motown hits for a bit, then 40s Do Wop, or whatever you want to call it. The music sort of fit the nostalgic decor of the place with pin-up doll stickers, stained glass fixtures, and a dark, earthy vibe. While it wasn't much more than really good karaoke, we did enjoy it. Silence would have just been weird. Our specific living room was outfitted with a comfy red couch, two paisley upholstered chairs, and some vintage vinyl on the walls -- Culture Club, and some various bands from the 60s and 70s including a Beatles poster, Bob Marley poster, and mug shot of old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, along with an old round coffee table and side tables from the 70s. The ambiance sold us immediately! Ok, now for the food -- the vegetarian Florentine crepes were tasty, and the portion just right, but for $14.95 was way overpriced. I wouldn't order it again. My husband ordered the pear and havarti flatbread, but it was more of an appetizer portion, and at $9.95 was also overpriced. It was no larger than a personal size pizza with the thin flatbread crust. Very strange for something priced at 10 bucks on the dinner menu. It tasted good though! My plan was not to order anything that would take us too far over the $25 Groupon, however, I'm a sucker for sangria, and the description of the white sangria sounded lovely. Think again. It was weak. It tasted acceptable, but was so watered down with ice that it just didn't hit the bulls eye. Now for dessert, the reason The Living Room earned 4 stars from me. The dessert menu itself isn't huge, but the creativity of the dessert menu deserves a look. If you're feeling adventurous, you can order the s'mores and cook them yourself. When's the last time you did that outside of a campfire? With some debate between the fried peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter pie, we chose the peanut butter pie. This, my Yelpers, is the reason we'll be returning. This peanut butter pie portion was topped with chocolate, a big dollop of marshmallow-flavored whipped cream, and drizzled with enough chocolate syrup to make me wish I'd done a double workout today. To top it off, the portion was huge, and at $6, has won my vote for Best Dessert in Palm Beach County. Is there a contest for this? If there isn't, there should be, and this should be entered! While the food here is good, it's just not worth the Boca pricing. It's in a Boynton Beach strip mall for cryin' out loud! The ambiance is great, and the dessert has won me over. We'll be back for our after-dinner sweets!

Had a girls night out last night and picked this place as I've wanted to try it out for some time now. I absolutely LOVE the decor, it's so relaxing and quaint and we loved the "living room"areas and the hostess set us up in a corner area so it felt like we had our own little private living space complete with a love seat (very comfy),2 accent chairs and a coffee table. The lights are dim which make for a perfect romantic dinner but also great for ladies night. Our server, Jeanine was awesome!! Very friendly and funny, we chatted with her like we've known her forever LOL She helped with perfect suggestions on cocktail, appetizers as well as entrees. I ordered the Pink Living Room which was perfect! No too much vodka, not too little, just right. For apps, we ordered the Gargonzola Chips,TO DIE FOR!!! I wasn't sure what to expect, but whoever came up with this idea gets a huge thumbs up from us. They were delicious! For entrees, I ordered the Vindaloo Curry with chicken (I love spicy food) and it was delicious!! Very spicy though so please beware lol My girlfriends both ordered the Steak and Mushrooms which I did try and equally delicious! All of the food came out nice, hot and very fresh! Definitely made to order. We chatted in this area after eating for a while and decided we wanted to sit outside by the fire pit since it was in the 60's and perfect for a little fireside chat lol This was definitely the highlight of our night. The head chef, Lisa, came out and lit the fire pit for us and we ended up chatting with her for along time. She is awesome!! Very lively and funny and we really enjoyed her as well as all of the servers since we had the opportunity to be served by each one. There was always someone coming to check on us in case we needed anything. Lisa suggested one of their cocktails, The Hummingbird, AWESOME!!! We really had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back. This place is a hidden gem!

Delicious - all 4 people in our party really enjoyed the meals. Everything seemed freshly prepared and unique options. Cool atmosphere - definitely laid back. Wasn't sure what to expect coming here - I actually ironically liked it more and more as the tables filled up versus when we were one of the few tables there - it made it feel even cozier. I even liked the guy playing guitar - added to the atmosphere without drowning out conversation. I would recommend a reservation - it definitely fills up and the best tables seem to go to the reservations. Very eclectic but really cool for something different and especially with the food being so good, I plan to return.

Last time we went to the LR was polar opposite to the first. The service was weird. When we sat, 4 people came at separate times to take our drink order. Thanks, but I think the first person got it. We were never really sure who our server was. People were all over us, and not in a good way, it was annoying. The only time the crazy service stopped was when we were done eating. Dirty plates in front of us for 10 minutes, I asked for a check 3 times and finally had to get up and ask the bar to take my money because I just wanted to leave. I hope they were just having an off night because in comparison to my last review, I felt like I was at two different restaurants.

This is a really cute place. Husband and I went as part of a progressive dinner tour date night. Aside from the owner making a snide comment to the hostess within our earshot for seating us at a table ("if they are here for just dessert you should only seat them outside. The dining room is for dinner guests only") it was a nice first visit. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. We had the peanut butter pie which was fantastic and a special bailey's chocolate cake that was ok. It was pricey for just dessert and 2 drinks ($40). It was the kind of place we'd stay and hang out at for a while if we didn't have a babysitter waiting for us to get home. Next time we will try their apps - the menu was full of great choices.

I took my girlfriend here to celebrate 7 months of being together. The atmosphere here was AWESOME and the live music just made it THAT much better :-) The people are very friendly and professional. Ok now the food.... The food was AMAZZZZING!!!! I had the Bangers and Mash and my girl had the Pesto Pasta which she said was very good as well. I would highly recommend :-)

This hip and cozy restaurant opened up in the same plaza where I work out. It has been tempting me ever since, but I am never in the right state (usually sweaty and gross) to go in and enjoy my time there. I convinced the boyfriend to take a trip with me here last night for dinner. SO glad we went. We walked through the doors into a dark room set up with differently themed "living rooms" as seating areas, a friendly crowd of people, and live music! The atmosphere was very warming and made you want to stay for hours. We decided to sit at the bar so we can chat it up with the worker there (l later learned his name is Robbie and I believe he co-owns the place). Robbie was so friendly and you could really tell he was proud of this place. He suggested a tasty micro brew from my man's hometown in VA to drink and this delish peachy sangria for me. Let me tell you - that was the best sangria I have ever had. Supposedly they are doing so well that they should have their full liquor license this month. I was starved so I was set out to eat. I ordered the meat and mushroom pie. Huge portion and so savory. It had a flaky pasty with a heaping serving of the meat and mushroom goodness in between it. It came with veggies that were steamed but still crisp, I love when veggies are prepared that way. My man had the shepard's pie and he said it was good. He isn't as big of a foodie as me so I never really expect a vivid description on food he puts in his mouth. It smelled fab, though. I have been good this week in my gym routine, so I decided to get the peanut butter pie. Hoolllllyyy craaappp. YUM. It is a super rich peanut butter pie with a chocolate ganache on top, generously served! They also have a wine ice cream which I will definitely be back to try. They seem to have a full calendar of events. Lots of different things happening depending on which night you go. They also had games out on the bar to play while you enjoy your unique time. Luke and I terrorized each other with "would you rather..." All in all a wonderful time. So low key and seemed just right for us. I have a feeling I'll be a new regular.

Meet some friends for dinner and had never heard of this place before. It's very unassuming in a shopping plaza, but absolutely unique and worth the trip! They had a lot of pub-style menu items (scotch eggs, fish & chips) but other lighter items like pastas, salads, and flat breads. The fish tacos were great and others in the group had the skinny chicken and the crab cakes, which were all fantastic. They have a pretty unique dessert menu (make your own s'mores!) and we shared the baked milky way, which was so good! The decor is really cute, in a mismatched chic sort of way - lots of charm and character. It was great, the waitress/hostess were all friendly and helpful. Try it for yourself!

We come here almost weekly. Great selection of beers. They seem to have new ones all the time. The menu is slightly limited so I would recommend looking online before going. So far everything we had tasted great. Favorites are pretzels and duck drums for me. I also like they mushroom in a pie (sorry forgot the name). There is also live music some nights by amateur musicians. Which is fun to watch.

Lisa the owner replied that it really was chicken , the tiny chicken breast was a technique with wing tip left on, I know that as " supreme" but to us, this was fashioned to be the smallest most economical cut to the restaurant. It is a skimpy odd way to serve the comfort food that the Living Room tries to serve. The chicken was still awful- a traditional breast with good stuffing would have been welcome rather than the salty gravy laden odd little piece. The meatloaf was overshadowed by the big glob of pure white , very airy , not creamy and still boxed tasting mashed potatoes that were plopped piped atop like an ice cream sundae on the small serving of meatloaf , complete with a cherry on top. Homemade mashed is delicious served as is even without ladled on gravy . This did not taste at all homemade. Everyone likes some comfort food now and then but that night , the food was awful. We love a small restaurant with fresh local food but this place is not able to deliver simply done food - comfort or otherwise. The waitress did not offer any offer except to state that she didn't know what cut the chicken was and to give a simple flat " No" when asked to substitute baked for mashed . She was unconcerned that we were not pleased with our food . We enjoyed our night out listening to Dave the singer in the pub. Lisa is very defensive about her food and my opinion , after having chicken , meatloaf , skinny chicken, Crepes and fish tacos ( tilapia) doesn't change : come to hang out & listen to music, stick to appetizers if you hopefully can find one other to go with the hummus , and have a glass of wine .

This is a cute idea but not entirely well executed. The food if ok but nothing special. The menu is a little outdated. Kind of 90's chic. The decor is where they lose me. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable & it feels like I'm eating in my Nana's attic.

I LOVE the Living Room! Great live music nightly, decent prices, cool and eclectic atmosphere. I always get the chicken crepes- mmmm so yummy! And be sure to order desert- the smores are awesome, and come with a flame device so you can roast the marshmallows on sticks at the comfort of your table or couch :)

Ok so this place is definitely for the ambiance- it's relaxing - they have different types of seating- it can be two comfy chairs, a booth, a corner table it's really quaint! On Saturday night they had a nice little live entertainment that was not too loud but nice background music. The food is good - a nice variety- I can't say it was bad but just nothing extraordinary. I've had a pizza flatbread, salad , fish and chips - good but nothing wow - I like the place just to have something different and relaxing... Prices are reasonable...nice little wine list

A cute cozy intimate restaurant in a very odd location....smack dab in the middle of a strip mall...BUT...certainly a delight. Was here last evening for probably what was the fifth or sixth time...I had dinner here twice but the balance of my visits were for an intimate drink towards the end of an evening...and they didn't fail to deliver! I honestly cannot review on the food since it's been so long (I was an original guest when they first opened!) but two thumbs up for ambiance and service.... Visited last evening for karaoke learning that one of our favorite KJ would be on the venue....arrived at seven and found two spots at the bar and ordered our drinks...Makers Mark on the rocks and a Rusty Nail. Healthy drinks served in tumblers that were very comfortable in the hand...well...that's important to me, maybe not others...Karaoke was fun as were the friends that ultimately joined us...a good time was had by all and the evening passed all too quickly.... A suggestion to management if I may....on every occasion I had some sort of 'trouble' (way too harsh a word) with my drink order. If you're going to tend bar, you should know what a Rusty Nail is...a standard. I recall ordering a Gin Gimlet (another standard) during a past visit, and had similar trouble...the bartender (a young attractive woman...actually they're ALL very attractive young women! LOL) served me a mix of squeezed fresh lime juice and gin in a cocktail glass...One sip told me this was NOT a gin gimlet....upon questioning the concoction, I was told that they do not stock Rose's Lime Juice...What???? A standard item in all bars....or am I missing something. I thought the answer was odd, but for the next drink, I simply changed my request..no big deal, simply....odd! Last evening the bartender did not know what a Rusty Nail was..had to ask someone else holding up the drink order for quite a while even though the bar 'traffic' was very slow....It is no sin NOT to know what constitutes any drink but keep a bartenders book behind the bar...another standard in most good bars and I consider your place 'good'! The first Rusty Nail was mixed great...I was even asked what kind of Scotch I wanted! Good service! The second drink was pure Drambuie...no scotch...If you keep that up you're going to lose plenty of money! Again, not the end of the world. When brought to the attention of whom I thought was the manager, she 'repaired' the problem immediately...no questions asked. So....I will continue to return for the ambiance, polite service, karaoke and what I remember to be good food! Very nice place!

I'm reluctant to write a review because I've see the responses from who I am assuming is the owner, comes off as very abrasive. People's experiences and taste buds are their own, I don't feel like attacking and saying that person is wrong is the way to go about things, but that's just what I think. This was my husbands and I first and last time visiting. We tried The Living Room but they were very busy but was told we could go next door since they have the same menu. The decor was dingy for my taste but the singer was pretty good and soothing. The servers were nice but the service was a bit slow for a restaurant that only had 5 tables. We ordered the Mac and Cheese and Bangers and Mash. Not good. The Mac and Cheese did not have any flavor but it did have some sort of strange taste that I can't pinpoint. It looked brown. The Bangers and Mash had rock hard carrots and broccoli. A mountain of mashed potatoes that was not fresh, maybe it was instant? The "bangers" we're the size of my pinkies that was strange as well. The gravy, not fresh, maybe that was instant too? I really wanted to like this place but, no. Will not be coming back.

Wow what an amazing hidden gem! I've had the Living Room on my bookmarks for quite some time and finally made it in on a whim. I wish I would've come in sooner! The atmosphere is an eclectic mix of antiques and entertainment memorabilia, very cozy! The musician singing that night had a great sounding mix of throwback hits! I had the meatball appetizer and it was delicious! 10oz of meat and delicious sauce! The establishment is divided up into two sections, we sat on the restaurant side last night but are excited to check out the side that appears to be more of a bar on our next visit!

Me and a girlfriend went for a girls night. They had a promotion where you get a bottle of wine, cheese fondue and dessert for $25. Can't beat that. The wine was what you would expect; a mediocre rose. The cheese fondue came in a delicious sourdough bread bowl, but the cheese itself was outrageously salty. Disappointing. Lastly the dessert was some cake overly dressed in whipped cream and sauces not worth writing about. What was the most interesting was when the mostly drunk owner started MC-ing trivia. She was making pretty lude remarks and was discussing her vibrator over the microphone. The atmosphere was very comfortable and quaint and the decor was nice.

I have been here a few times and every single time, I have enjoyed it very much. The aroma is very cozy (hence the name "living room") and on most days they have live music which has always been great. The food is very authentic "home cooked" food. I definitely recommend the shepards pie. Service is always very friendly. This is definitely a very cool small restaurant to try out if you are in the area

The decor and vibe are what makes this place. It really feels like you are relaxing in a living room; soft lighting, comfy seating, and live music. The Living Room is kitschy and quirky and definitely worth checking out. Their food is good- we had a few craft beers (impressive selection for a small place), spinach artichoke dip that was YUMMY, shared a burger (not good very overdone), and bangers and mash (delish)! The service isn't what you would find in a chain, they really let you sit back and relax. Will definitely be returning soon!

I went to the Living Room early in the day to let the manager and owner know that I was bringing in a group of friends later that night for a dinner gathering. I had requested the outside area that is roped off and has a fire pit in the middle. I thought the weather was going to be cooler. The owner and manager were cordial and put my reservations in their book. I came back later that night around 6:45 and found that there were people sitting in our area that we had reserved. I was informed that they would be leaving by 7 but they did not. An alternative location was given to us and it was sufficient. The owner checked on us regularly and made sure we were well served during our dinner. Many trips were made by the wait staff to make sure there was plenty of water on the table. The establishment was having a 75 person party in the main restaurant and there is also a bar next door that is quite large with more traditional seating. There was live music at both the bar and the restaurant which we could hear every time someone opened the door. There is plenty of seating inside and out on the sidewalk/porch area. The food. OMG, the food. We ordered some appetizers which included a spinach dip inside a bread bowl, Gorgonzola potato chips dipped in honey and a veggie platter. The spinach bowl bread was so good. At the end we were cutting pieces of it and eating it until there was nothing left and the potato chips dipped in honey were divine. The prices were a bit high but I guess we were paying for the ambiance. I am not sure if I would come back to this place. While the place is quite eclectic with its artiness and unique sitting arrangements, I don't know that I want to spend that kind of money on the food they were offering. Parking is plentiful. One thing I do need to mention is that google maps does not give the correct location of the establishment. They are in the 24 hour fitness shopping center behind the IHOP. They are not in the middle of the parking lot as it shows on google maps. I spoke to the manager about that and she explained that google is aware of the issue but it still shows at a different place. Hope this helps.

Came here with my boyfriend for the 1st time and we loved it! We had the Scotch Egg which were good! Very different. Then we had the Florentine Crepes with chicken, which was really good!!! Tasted like chicken spinach dip in a crepe drizzles with balsamic glaze, Delicious!! And for dessert we had the Cannoli Chip and dip... It was like crack!! You can't stop eating it, it was so good!! Definitely a great hidden little gem!

Cute little place for lunch and the yelp deal is awesome. Very quaint and boutique-looking. I imagine coming one day in a bonnet. Tiny servings but perfect for lunch and very delicious! Had the chicken salad sandwich and the potato soup. Very yummy! I would love to come back with my girlfriends.

You've got to order the pretzel bread when you come here. It's pillowy soft on the inside, slightly crunchy on the outside, and warm all over. It's served with whole grain mustard and butter. My only beef is that it's served on a large bed of spinach. It just doesn't seem to go with the dish. The bread is so delicious, but the spinach is just kind of there, undressed and wilting under the warmth of the pretzels. For these reasons, it usually goes untouched. It's OK though because I'd rather leave room in my belly for one of their tasty entrées. Speaking of which... I've enjoyed every entrée I've had here so far. This includes: Grilled chicken with a gourmet greens salad Crab cakes Meatloaf Meatballs Vindaloo curry chicken - Heads up: I don't know if it's always like this, but tonight it was VERY SPICY. Still, the flavor was great and the chicken was shredded and tender. Over all, I enjoy The Living Room, and I'm looking forward to sampling more of their menu items.

Really cool place. Whoever designed the interior must have had a lot of fun doing it. We ordered the pear flat bread which was so delicious. I would have liked a little bit more pear as the bread was a tad salty, and would have been nice to balance the dish out more with some more sweetness. We also ordered the Gorgonzola Crisps - which are freshly made potato chips drizzled with gorgonzola cheese and honey. This is enough to share with 4 people. Again, the dish was covered in salt, and not enough cheese and honey to overcome the saltiness of the dish. Our waitress was very attentive, and she made the pink signature cocktail perfect (not too sweet, but not too bland either). They also had a musician playing his guitar and singing, and his music brought a perfect mood to the place - not too loud, not too hippy, and not too funky. Just chill.

The Living Room has the best atmosphere of any restaurant in Boynton Beach. They are open for both lunch and dinner and have some of the healthiest food options in the area. They make the dishes on site and the food is top quality. After hours, the Living Room is bustling with a diverse crowd in an extremely laid back Floridian atmosphere. I love eating here because the price is reasonable and the food is healthy and homemade. Definitely a "must-try" in Boynton.

Absolutely loved this place! The ambiance is very relaxing and cozy. The restaurant is made to feel like you are right at home, complete with couches, and abstract decor. Stopped by for a cappuccino and dessert. The Kit Kat Chocolate Cake was PHENOMENAL! The best chocolate cake I've ever had- it was decadent and very moist. Can't wait to go back and try out the lunch and dinner menus.

Just went to the Living Room for the first time a couple weeks ago. I really loved the decor and concept. The area is split into a usual restaurant layout, a bar and a handful of living room type areas that include a love seat sofa and coffee tables. We sat at one of the sofa areas as we were look for appetizers and drinks. The margaritas were yummy and the home made potato chips with cheese and honey were unique. You cannot eat just a few. You end up fighting for the last one at the bottom of the bowl. The flatbread was also very tasty with caramelized onions. I believe the chef changes up the menu sometimes or has a few specials so I am looking forward to next time! As we were leaving, we checked out their outside patio with a fire pit, along with their adjacent English pub that is accessible thru the door next. Both the restaurant and the pub had live music playing - I am definitely going back and taking the fam.

I love this place! It's kitschy and adorable with a huge outside patio area. The tables inside are candlelit and they have a great, affordable wine list. My boyfriend and I decided to go with pub fare; I got the shepherd's pie and he got bangers and mash...both came with steamed veggies. My shepherd's pie was delicious (I got it without cheese), and the meat was not over seasoned like a lot of places generally do with shepherd's pie. My boyfriend said the sausage in the bangers and mash was great and the gravy on the mash was perfect! The service was really prompt and attentive. We saw multiple waitresses, all of whom were very sweet and seemed to really want to provide quality service. I will definitely be going back soon!

Three stars mostly for live music and casual but warm ambience. My mom hyped it up and had a groupon for us to use during our visit. Started off with the pretzel bread which was warm and ok to share. I asked for the meatball appetizer with a side salad and they asked if it was ok hat it was $5.95 extra. Wasn't worth it. Dessert was amazing especially the canoli dip and Milky Way.

Brunch is alive and well in Boynton Beach!!! For fans of The Little House's famous Pajama Brunch, look no further as the torch has been passed to the living room! It has everything you want in brunch. "Bottomless" mimosas and bloody Mary's, a menu that any true foodie will die over and a LIVE jazz trio! My girlfriend and I have been raving out dinners here for years. Today was our first brunch and it was awesome! For $40 per COUPLE you get an appetizer 2 brunch entrees and a dessert. Oh and that's inclusive of bottomless drinks!!! So don't listen to the critics, and RUN to this place for brunch!

Can't say enough about the grilled cheese bread bowl. The baked Brie is really good too. It took us some time to get seated (just 2 of us), and getting food takes a bit longer than expected, but for the atmosphere and unique menu, I'd say it's worth it. I would not recommend the Italian Wellington; their Sangria is definitely a win though. Also, they have a yelp check in discount woot woot!

This is a unique place. Perfect for a few cocktails and conversation. The menu is a little creative but the stuffed chicken I ordered was no very impressive. The waitresses were attentive and upbeat. I gave this place only 3 stars because the older woman who either owns or manages the place was at the bar talking very loudly on the phone then got off the phone with what sounded like a future birthday party client and said " are you F**king kidding me?" And started talking bad about the person she was just on the phone with to a waitress. All this right in front of me while I sat at the bar eating dinner. Not impressed....

What a disappointment! The food was ok, the service was ehh, the atmosphere was really bizarre. There was a tarot card reader there who was poor. After she read my cards she asked if she was close and when I hesitated she said she wanted to try it again. There was love music which was the best part.

I really want to like this place. I have mixed feelings. I like the atmosphere. They achieved their feel for ambiance but I feel that the food is a little mediocre. It was not terrible but I expected more from this place. The menu lacks imagination. For me, it's more of a "have a glass of wine and app with friends" place. I don't think I will be back for "dinner." Drinks and apps, yes. A server suggested that I order Shepard's Pie (ground meet, potatoes and cheese) for dinner; it was "basically" baked ground meat (meatloaf) in a small casserole dish, topped with plain mashed potatoes, topped with plain cheese. Shepard's Pie is in my top five for comfort food. The presentation was nice, taste was ok but it needed something else; seasoning, and a punch of flavor. Shepard's Pie is actually ground lamb, carrots and onions- maybe I will stick with what I like next time but the reviews were so good, I wanted to try it. Points for the Brie appetizer, It was nicely presented and tasted very fresh. It was served with seeded cracker bread and a variety of mixed fruit such as strawberries, red grapes and a small Kiwi. The Staff... I believe they tip share, so you never actually have a dedicated server, which is ok but I believe having somewhat of a "section" works best and this did not seem like the case; flagging down someone can be bothersome and awkward. We were also given two separate descriptions of one dessert by two separate servers which has never happened but we thought humorous. Lastly, I can't leave this out, the servers attire... The servers (mostly young girls) attire is a joke. Unless you want to be served by mostly naked girls, which I'm sure some may enjoy, for me, not so much. Dresses and skirts are cute, big fan, but its a restaurant; please save the 'debauchery' for a different establishment. I found it a little classless. I want end it on a good note, the outside patio is a nice touch. It was a few girls in our group and we enjoyed sitting near the fire chatting over cocktails while we waited for a table.

I am such a fan of this hole in the wall. I always feel transported to a different place when I go to this restaurant. It's hard to believe I'm in a shopping center in Boynton. It's fun for a girls night out or for a date night. The things I've had from the menu have all been really yummy. I've had the meatballs, the Mediterranean plate and the crab cakes. Their wine choices are pretty good. On my last date night, my hubby and I had a chile chocolate cake. Wow. I'm Mexican and am pretty used to dishes with both chocolate and spice. So I'm not sure if this is an acquired taste. But the cake was delicious. Our Cabernet enhanced the spices. It was simply amazing. The staff is really nice. They have pretty good singers. The decor is so cute. They have little living rooms throughout but also have tables. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Man o man what an atmosphere music and drinks are so fantastic I can't even explain it and we haven't even had food yet I'm sure there is a lot more to come from this place can't believe we've lived here for a year and I work out right next door and have not come in. And don't get me started on the live music it's truly amazing. Ok food came out and I have to admit the crab cakes are really really good. And the meatballs right on par. I couldn't ask for anything more. If you don't try this place you will miss out

Thoroughly disappointed. After reading all of the great reviews I was really excited to come here. The atmosphere is hippy/chic . All the waitresses are wearing long maxi skirts, it's like stepping back into the 60s. Unfortunately there food is stuck there as well. The appetizer Mac and cheese was really good, very cheese, had flavor depth, the only thing it lacked was salt and pepper. I ordered the florentine crepes for an entree. It was covered in balsamic glaze, which I'm assuming the chef thinks amps the presentation. One bite of spinachy mush later and I was ready to puke. It tasted like moldy cheese meets dry chicken on soggy puff pastry dough. My fiancé ordered the steak and mushroom pie. I took one bite and literally had to chew it for 10 minutes and take a sip of tea to swallow it down. And I had a terrible aftertaste after. My waitress noticed I didn't eat it and took it off the bill. The dessert looked good and the appetizers were good. I would recommend this place for a girls night out, they have a great wine selection. Stay away from the entrees and you'll be fine.

more of a 3.5! adorable decor, very fun and interesting place to be in! The menu was interesting and offered a lot of flatbreads! The food was very tasty and you could tell it was made to order. Everything was fresh, right temperature. my apple cocktail was very tasty :) great live music too! the musician/singer had a wonderful voice slow service though, and no bread or anything to start us off so we didn't start eating until about 25 minutes after we ordered our appetizers. our waitress was very friendly but took a very long time to get to us for everything. She would walk in and out of the kitchen tending to people but wouldn't pass by other tables on her way in and out, so it was pretty inefficient. We enjoyed our time here and since we weren't starving we didn't get upset about it, but I could see how if you're hungry or watching the time this could become an issue. we also had to go up to her with the bill to pay at the end. otherwise I'd give this a 4 star for food & ambiance

I'm a fan: I like this vintage chic, mood-lit, little hole-in-the-wall. I didn't have a main meal, I had the chef special flat bread but my friend had the stuffed chicken and she said it was delish. My flat bread was a pesto and tomato ensemble and I really liked how crispy the edges were. The bar is cute and seems to be the main attraction. Lots of people piling in and heading straight for it. The guy playing acoustic songs perfected the ambiance. I found myself eyeballing every detail on the walls but still seeing new little decor details. It is certainly a place to go for wine with the girlfriends. My only complaint would be the staff, which was comprised of very young girls that just came across as clueless. If asking any questions, they would scuttle off to find out, when really they should be able to tell you if happy hour has ended or what the specials are. So overall I really liked it, thinking I'll go back for a real meal and update the review accordingly.

This is a cute but quirky place. Food was good, Service was not. We made reservations and when we arrived we stepped into the door and a girl was standing there but did not acknowledge us. After a minute I asked if she worked there, she nodded her head. I told her we have a reservation for 4, she asked the name and then said she would have to go check. She came back a minute or so later and told me we must have called next door - I didn't know there was a "next door" or what that meant (I later realized there is a pub), maybe the phone number on Yelp is for the pub next door? Anyway she said she would go check so I further clarified we made the reservation to sit outside at the fire pit and asked if we could go ahead and sit, she said she had to check first (no other tables are taken outside so I am not sure what the problem was). She came back and told us we could go ahead and sit, she then brought 3 waters (for our 4 ppl) and 4 menus and immediately wanted to know what we wanted to drink. I asked for a few min to look at the wines. She returned 10 min later we ordered a bottle of wine. When she brought the red wine & very small white wine glasses she just poured 4 glasses all the way to the top and then walked away with the wine bottle. We passed the glasses around the table (carefully they were full) and hoped she finished the bottle in our small glasses. About 10 min later she came back for our food order. The following were very good - Mac & Cheese, Scotch Egg & Pear Flatbread. We ate & drank our one glass each of wine then sat there with the empty plates & wine glasses for more than 15 minutes before a different server (very nice male server who was efficient with his tables outside) acknowledged he would find our server. We ordered a second bottle of wine and asked for the missing glass of water, when she returned with the wine & water she filled each wine glass up and was about to walk away with the bottle again when I asked her if we could possibly have that last shot of wine that is still in the bottle, she nodded and started to walk away when I stopped her as we wanted to order some entrees. 2 entrees came out at a time spaced several minutes apart I assume a small kitchen/staff may be why, delivered to the table by a diff server. I suggest you Skip the Italian Wellington it was so salty we could not eat it (each at our table confirmed the salt was on overload and must have been a mistake-it burned our mouths & throat) The Shepherds Pie was very good but under seasoned (I think I know where the salt went), The Roast Beast was good but nothing special and the Grilled Cheese Bowl of Tomato Soup was good not great unfortunately the soup was cold (not even slightly warm). Note that all entrees are about $13. We never saw our server again, we sat with empty wine & water glasses for over 30 minutes before a different server acknowledged us, we asked if we could order dessert through her as our server was M.I.A. She was a lovely young lady and promptly got our dessert and had much more personality than our original server. We had fun coming up with a back story about our original server (and hostess with the most-ess) though I would not ever want to be at her table again. We had a good time at this restaurant, the ambiance is nice, they offer some creative dishes but it is a little overpriced for the quality and type of food and the bad service. I hope the owner/manager can express to the server(s) to be sure the table knows the wine bottle is empty before you walk away with it...

I used to absolutely love this place. It's funky and fun and the food used to be great. USED to be... I have had three bad experiences the last the times I was there. The last time was the worst. I don't know what has changed, because the atmosphere and vibe is the same... Oh, that's right the food quality has become abominable. This last time the food tasted old and was tough. There was nothing desirable about it at all. Started with Spinach Dip, which was the best thing we ate and it's below average. We also had the Meatball app and the Beef and Mushroom Pie. It's hard to say which one was worse. The Meatball was mealy and the sauce was strange and tasted burnt. The Pie was so bad that it was almost not edible. It honestly tasted like it had come out of a can and been reheated several times. This was even worse than the last time, when the food was just bad. If you want to overpay for terrible food, mediocre service, and a different atmosphere, then The Living Room is the place to go. **in response to the owners comments: Glad to see you care about negative experiences. In reality, I have brought previous issues to the attention of staff (both you, servers, and another manager/owner(?)). I tried and tied and tried, hoping the original passion and love for food was there. How many times should a customer spend their hard earned money to be disappointed? I have always hoped for a five star experience, but have been left wanting. I have left after extremely poor service, notified management and decided to return again. I have left after mediocre food and brought it to the attention of staff, and returned again. Yet, based on experiences from when you opened until the last several months; you are slipping. Slipping in food quality and to some extent, service too. Perhaps you cannot see the degeneration in food quality. Maybe you are too occupied to taste what your kitchen is putting out. Either way, the food is less than average. There are some wonderful appetizers, but if you are in the mood for a complete dinner experience, this is not the place.

Can't believe I forgot to write this review sooner! My husband and I went here last month with another couple on a rainy Tuesday night. I had been wanting to go here and saw a Groupon so we went to check it out. It turned out that they were having a Cheap Date Night special that night, so we didn't even end up using the Groupon. My husband and I did the special, which ended up being the following: some kind of delicious fried cheesy jalapenos for appetizer, beer battered chicken and hand cut fries for dinner (these were delicious! There were other options for the entrees, but I'm in for beer battered anything), then an incredible display of peanut butter/chocolate cheesecake + slice of apple pie + another slice of something I can't remember because my husband ate it too fast. The other couple ordered the gorgonzola honey chips (they were surprisingly amazing), the crab cakes (his review of them was 'EPIC') and the curry chicken (she said it was good, but not the best curry she's had). We will definitely be back to try out the regular menu items!

Very cute place to go on a date night. Perfect for couples because it's a romantic atmosphere. Outside seating by heaters and the Jazz music was very relaxing.

Worst service and worst food I have ever had! Everyone was rude from the hostess to the waitress! When asked for a plate of lemons they simply said they didnt do that! Really?! The whole experience was unbelievable and I cannot believe this place is in business. Awful!!

Since the days of its predecessor Boca Muse the Living Room has merited special event consideration for my wife and I. Dishes like Vindaloo curry and meatball are standouts for me, brie for her, and a shared cheese platter make for good dining. Live music can add to the atmosphere which features eclectic decor evocative of a quaint but popular UK pub.

Today I spent my 30th Birthday having the best lunch you could imagine:) When you walk into this establishment your mind will go crazy checking out all the funky art work and the unique set up of the table arrangements. It literately feels like you feel into your best friends living room! The wait staff is warm and welcoming and you feel completely comfortable from the minute you walk in. I had the Ham and Brie Sandwich with the tomato soup. The sandwich had the perfect pairing of the saltiness of the brie cheese and the sweet notes from the cured ham. Definitely a sandwich that you will not want to pass up. The tomato soup is hearty, rich and creamy. I also had the raspberry tea that they brew themselves. The raspberry tea actually brought out the flavor of the brie cheese in my sandwich. I will definitely be back to try the other delicious selections on their menu If you want to get away from the ordinary dining experience this is the place do that!

Love this place. Relaxed atmosphere, amazing food (ask for a couch if you're with a group!) moderately priced but worth every penny. We had scotch eggs, baked Brie, duck drummettes, pretzel bread and the soup of the day (creamy mushroom), roast beast and chips, Italian Wellington, bangers and mash, cannoli and chips, make your own s'mores, and the seasonal pumpkin crisp. Everything was delicious and everyone walked away happy. Truly some of the best food in the area!

I'm so confused about this place; the atmosphere & the waitresses were amazing!! However, we were disappointed with the food quaility. We finally decided to try something new so we ordered the shepard & beef mushroom pies. What we got was a bowl that was full of unseasoned beef @ the bottom & they piped the mash potatoes on top to make the shepards pie. The beef & mushroom pie was topped with a pastry but its in a plate. So imagine stew beef in ur plate & they just place a puff pastry on top & thats suppose to b a pie.. On the other hand we really loved dining on the outside patio @ night. I hope they read these comments because they definitely need to step up there food quality.

The decor is cute and the menu is interesting. The appetizers and desserts tasted better than the main dishes. Some of the food was great (baked Brie) while others we could have done without (Mac and cheese). The live music was good but a little too loud.

My wife and I ate at The Living Room tonight for the first time. The ambiance is great. Very eclectic and funky. The owner greeted us at the door and gave us our choice of seating. The service was great throughout the night. We really enjoyed our meal, which included the Mediterranean Platter, Pear flat bread, meatloaf and fish tacos. We give The Living Room high marks and would recommend it to anyone looking for a really unique dining experience in Boynton Beach.

My wife and I went here on a Monday night. I called to make a reservation and the girl said that usually they don't take same day reservations...but that they could fit us in. I thought it was funny. We showed up and the place was practically empty. I don't know why they are so funny about their reservations. The food wasn't anything I'd go back for. I had the florentine crepes. My wife had the flatbread special. We also got the pita bread and hummus appetizer. The presentation was good on all of it but the flavors were weak on the crepes and flatbread. The flavor in the flatbread was good just very mild and needed salt. I didn't care for the flavor of the crepes and found it lacking in flavor. The balsamic dressing was good though. The pita and hummus was the best thing we had....but I still was hoping for more. I've heard the desserts are good so I might go back and try a dessert. However, I won't go back for dinner. At 15 bucks a plate I'm expecting things to be great not good--that's the summary.

In the doghouse with your special someone? Flowers just aren't doing it? Well the Living Room is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner that should bring you back into good graces in no time. Seating is intimate for those in your party, if you can get a "living room" you absolutely should. They have nice comfy couches to relax in as opposed to your typical booth or table and chairs. They have a very good wine selection and that's what they really push but their beer selection is very underrated. All 6 drafts are from Tampa's own Cigar City Brewing and will typically have one of their harder to find kegs on tap. Drinking local is fun right? The menu is English style with a bit of an American twist to it. The brie is a great starter. The chicken curry and Shepard's pie are probably my favorites for entrees. The curry has a nice extra kick in spice to it. On certain nights there is live music in the way of acoustic guitars and singers. Nothing too loud. The prices are really what you would expect for the type of establishment. The owner, Lisa, is very friendly and there has not been a time there that she hasn't come over to the table to ensure everything is alright and have a little chat. But really you don't have to be in trouble to take your loved one to the Living Room. It's a great date spot any time.

Ill try to be nice here, maybe i should wait a day to cool off. We had just traveled from having dinner with friends in Jupiter. Our wife's just had to stop at Marshals in Boynton Beach. Real men don't do Marshals. So we men went in search for an adult beverage. We go in here to check out the bar. I'am greeted by a 5'10" well dressed blonde female. ( END of review, we just found a real B- - - - - of a snob. I won't go into detail but it seams if you want a drink go else were, we did.

The Living Room is by far my favorite spot in Boynton. I've been coming here for a couple of years now and it never disappoints. I'm always excited to bring new friends, family, and out of town visitors to this cozy little spot. Their menu is full of delicious comfort foods! From their tomato soup in a grilled cheese bread bowl to their thick and creamy spinach dip, you can't go wrong. My husband and I have tried just about everything on the menu, and we love it all. If you're looking for something a little spicy, check out their curry dish. If you're watching your figure, order the skinny chicken. If you can't wait to indulge - eat whatever you want and follow it up with the peanut butter pie. It's so good, you won't even feel guilty about those calories. Everything is cooked to order here. That along with the fact that sometimes the restaurant gets a little busy, means it might take longer than you expected to get your food, but it's honestly worth it. Lisa, the owner, and her entire staff are so nice and are truly happy to get the opportunity to make delicious meals for locals. The next time you're looking for a place for a fun date, a girl's night out, or even trivia night, do yourself a favor and check out The Living Room. It's really a gem. Also be sure to follow this place on Facebook or Twitter to get information about special discounts, musical acts, or other special events. I've totally taken advantage of their last-minute date night specials posted on Facebook where we got an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine for $35. Can't beat that!

Glad I came back. Got a great sofa seat in a nice corner. Wine was nice as was the price. they toned down the music and had an acoustic guitar player which was perfect as we could converse and still enjoy the music. Apps were presented quickly and service was friendly and swift all night. Wahoo special was great flavors and salad and veggie with it were great complement. No rush to push us out and enjoyed the entire experience.

The Living Room is great! My wife and I have eaten here a few times, each time the food and wine gets better. Last weekend they hosted my wedding and reception, they did an outstanding job. The service was world class and the food was delicious! Edible tortilla chip spoons with spinach dip, prime rib sliders on a pretzel roll, buffalo chicken empanadas, and baked Brie bites were just a few of the passed hors d'oeuvres we served. The wine selection is eclectic, making every glass a new adventure. Thank you Lisa and The Living Room staff for a great night!!!

Confused ...And Loving It! Over the many years of eateries and points of inebriation that I have had the pleasure, and sometimes displeasure of visiting, I often find myself returning to those quirky, eclectic little spots that caused me to smile or even offered a bit of excitement upon discovery. I'm confused as to whether its a restaurant, a tapas bar, a gastropub, or a hideout for culturally superior sports bar exiles; regardless, there is no question - I will be back to the Living Room, and if you don't mind I'll pass out in a quiet corner with a smile and bottle of pinot for a pillow. En route, I had no grandiose expectations - only hopes and rumors. It is nestled in a B class strip mall on Congress ave., where a former Lindburgers was, and is only steps away from a pizza joint, McDonald's, and Marshalls. If you're not looking carefully, you can easily drive by. As I approached the doors, I was intrigued - the interior was obscured by drapes on the doors and windows; what are they hiding in there? I walked past a group of college age people seated in their outdoor patio; they laughed with one another and smiled at us while pouring the last of a bottle of red; possibly activists with Greenpeace? beat poets having a weekly meeting? I was trying to gauge the crowd on appearances alone. (Don't tell anyone, but they looked like they might smoke marijuana on occasion.) :p My curiosity perked up, as did that of my three lovely companions; we threw open the door and suddenly felt like art critics in a private Renoir gallery. The eclectic decor, exposed brick, industrial air vents, crushed velvet, groupings of love seats and Queen Anne chairs nestled about low coffee tables- my eyes dilated with a comfortable awe and curiosity. I had walked into the home of an eccentric artist and was more than at ease; I was enchanted. Could it get any better? Well, the men's room walls are wallpapered in the covers of old 30's and 40's skin magazines which are surprisingly tasteful....yet tantalizing while seeking the relief that only a Kohler toilet can offer. I can't speak for the ladies room - yet. So we started with a 2005 Napa cabernet- stunning, simply stunning - and blooming with hints of cherries, plums and anise. Our friendly server who was dressed casually, but as fashionable as we were, felt more like a friend than a waiter as she brought us flatbread with Havarti and pears. Then followed the baby lamb chops adorned with rosemary and a baked brie coated in a blackberry sauce that had absolutely fascinating hints of molasses. The earthiness was like nothing I have ever enjoyed with ripe cheese. Pared with our next bottle, a wonderfully peppery Syrah/Shiraz with undertones of cocoa, I was in heaven. As Eddie Murphy once said, I was so excited that If the teacher asked me to step up to the blackboard, I would have taken the zero. Last bottle - a lovely Pinot Noir. It was two hours later and we were done- really done. Scotch I can drink till the cows come home and still tutor calculus III; four glasses of wine and I'm toast. Now, as I laud this place, keep in mind, not a single bottle of wine of their beer/wine-only offering breaks $40. As a self proclaimed wine snob who frequently collects $200-$300 bottles, these were marvelous and well-picked values. The food- it's mainly tapas and there are some lovely deserts , but I can't say that I would eat dinner here. I would suggest it's a really nifty spot (did I say nifty?) to consume a bottle or two and accompany it with some nibbles while you get to know your date better - or maybe you need to discuss William Burrough's Naked Lunch with a couple friends. Either way the place is geared for those individuals that are one notch up the food chain from the sports bar/bud light crowd. The food, although beautifully presented and artfully paired with their bacchian offerings, was not without flaws. The puff pastry on our brie was a bit flat and the cheese itself could have been warmer. Oh, and the lamb was mildly overcooked, but considering how absurdly picky I am about what medium rare lamb really should be, it is a forgivable and easily overlooked flaw. The bottom line? This place is a rare find- a treasure if you will. I hope you enjoy a little eccentricity with your wine and tapas. Don't expect to catch up on any football scores here and you won't meet any spandex-wearing bimbos nursing Michelob Ultra. I don't even know if you'll enjoy it as much as I did if you don't know the difference between the recent sonoma malbecs and those from south america which can be chewy. But....if I'm speaking your language and you like places like DaDa's in Delray, I think you will really enjoy this hip, quaint, quirky, bar, restaurant, gastropub, near-perfect whatever the hell it is. Speech over!

I did lunch with a couple of girlfriends. The atmosphere concept is interesting but not for me. To walk into a restaurant and it is sooooo dark , especially when it's a sunny day outside , took some getting used to and instead of cozy it felt a bit cold to me. The other thing than was awkward was opting to sit on sofas instead of at a table. They do have a few regular tables and couple of booths but we chose a sofa seating arrangement. However when the food came it was just too awkward to eat. Somehow the chairs and or sofas were just not conducive for eating and they had these teeny little side tables next to the chairs to place our plates but you had to keep the plate in your hand/lap s the side table did not help. For dessert because we chose to share a dessert I had to hold the plate in my hand and stretch my arm out so that my friends could also eat because there was no table in the middle. The other disappointment was the restaurant has not updated their menu online. The menu they currently have is completely different from their website.. Disappointing when you go with a mindset to eat something in particular and it not be offered when you get there. I thought their menu was quite boring, and because they are a small establishment they are very basic in their offerings. Tried to get crushed pepper flakes for pizza , but no luck. Different bread for my sandwich , no luck. Best thing to the restaurant was their dessert. They had many options, and they all sounded yum. We had a chocolate ganache type something and it was very good.

While the service can be hit or miss at times, the food is phenomenal. We've never had a bad meal here. Lisa, the owner, is very friendly, walking around making sure all is right with the customers. The chicken crepes are great, with the balsamic drizzle and the fresh veggies that accompany it. My wife enjoys the grilled cheese bread bowl with tomato soup. The ambiance is eclectic, definitely a change from your run-of-the-mill restaurants. Definitely try the desserts too.

As a longtime resident of Boynton Beach, I've always balked at the lack of funky, fun restaurant that I could hang out at to grab a bite or a couple of glasses of wine or beer. I had found myself heading down to Delray or up to Lake Worth, and most of the time was disappointed with those options as well. At long last, the Living Room is a perfect marriage of atmosphere and culinary prowess in the most unassuming of locations. My wife and I have dined here multiple times now, and the staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and involved with the product they provide. Lisa, the owner, will greet you personally on many nights and also follow up to make sure your experience was worthwhile. I've always enjoyed a variety of music, and The Living Room is one of the best places I've found to discover some great artists. Each weekend they have someone performing, and also have some great things going on during their trivia and open mic nights. But ultimately, the highlights are the service and food. The flatbreads and Florentine Crepes are out of this world, and my wife will never go there without ordering a crock of the delicious mac and cheese. I'm also astounded that they are carrying an entire line of draft beer from Cigar City brewing company, which is a fantastic up-and-coming brewery in Tampa. Overall, there's nothing we'd change about the restaurant. It's always the first restaurant we suggest to friends visiting from out of town, and will always be a first option for us on a night when we don't want to cook.

Never was there a more unsuspecting location for such a quirky dip into nostalgia, than this typical Florida mini-mall housing your basic storefronts. Perhaps the purple-glowing sign and Christmas tree lighting is the nudge that you are certainly not at chain restaurant number three hundred and twelve. See, my boyfriend had been harboring a not-so-secret crush on The Living Room" for some stretch of time, so naturally I was inclined, and excited, to visit the other woman. At first sight, the name surely delivers on its promise. Mismatched couches, grandma's lampshades, and that immediate confusion between hostess and patron; a wink at the restaurants laid-back ambiance. We chose to sit in one of their "living room" sections, two couches facing inward toward a low, wood block coffee table from where we would soon eat our dinner. A well-worn bookshelf towered next to us, reinforcing the theme. As I had hoped, the menu waved a big hello to American comfort food, all while grasping fingertips with our UK counterparts. A lovely fusion of pub-style, mom's kitchen specialties, with an expected modern twist. Macaroni and Cheese, Meatloaf, Fish and Chips, Meat Pie, etc. Not the brightest menu for vegetarians, but as I've forayed into fish, I found several items appealing. My boyfriend, with the most insistent craving for meatloaf, happily (and easily) chose his dinner. I myself wrestled with menu choices as I typically do when reminded that unlike a cow, I only have one stomach. After hearing the nightly special, I immediately dove for the broiled salmon with lemon and dill, served with yellow rice and veggies. A decidedly simple meal, but a simple culinary test as well. The salmon, while I desired a bit more broiled-ness, was flavorful and fairly priced. Lemon and dill, its perfect accomplices, and a side of surprisingly straightforward broccoli and carrots. My guess is that they were aiming for simple, unaltered vegetable purity, which strangely enough, I enjoyed just as it was. The Living Room remains an ultimate dining fantasy. Private sectors of comfy couches, decently priced, crisp wine, food that reminds you of a Golden Age, and that closeness that runs amiss at other restaurants. Now that I've finally met her, I see why he was so swayed by her charm.

We were lucky enough to scoop up a cancelled reservation for Saturday night. We were sat in a little living room setting with a couch, two chairs and a coffee table. The atmosphere was fantastic and everyone in the party loved their meal. I had the fish and chips which was delicious. My only regret is that we were too full to try the make your own s'mores for dessert!

Food was good. Service was okay. Our waitress kept disappearing. Prices and atmosphere were amazing. I had the black bean cake and it was very good but the orzo was just okay. My boyfriend got the Shepard's pie and he said it was just okay. I'd try it again.

This place is really cool! I love the funky bohemian decor, and we sat at a table that was decoupaged with old pin up magazine covers! the menu was filled with interesting twists on old comfort food. the mac and cheese was divine. the only thing i wish they had was a full bar. This place is more than i usually want to spend, but for an occasional night out it's way fun!

Note: This rating is for take-out of dessert, not eating there...although I want to go back to eat there. The atmosphere was very cool. Great vibe. As for the dessert, they were amazing...chocolate carrot cake with a chocolate glaze, and peanut butter pie. 5+ each!!!

Really cool place with a vibe. As soon as I walked in I felt like it was a homey little rustic place with little seating areas all over. I enjoyed the separation between the conversation areas, you're hidden slighty to the other parties going on and yet can still look over and see whats going on..I thought that was great. The music was nice and chill was def the mode you get in when you come here. I tried the sangria..it tasted like no alcohol and watered down...I also showed up at midnight...so I didn't have a chance to try the food here which was dissapointing, I had to go to Brus Room down the street...

Very pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a place for a quick bite before a movie. My wife suggested this restaurant. We didn't have reservations, but took our chances and were seated in 10 minutes. The place is decorated bohemian eclectic with couches and coffee tables as well as traditional table and chairs. Food and cocktails were very tasty and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great time. We plan on returning next weekend with friends.

I visited the Living Room when I was visiting my mom. It's a bit too dark in there, but very kitschy. I love that it has both indoor and outdoor dining areas as well. I feel like whichever area you pick for seating really says something about you. Our server was really nice and made wonderful recommendations. It was a very private, intimate dining experience--and not too busy, either. Will definitely go here again.

I'm a little bit unconvinced that The Living Room is worth coming back for a second time. I'm excited to see that The Living Room is offering a little bit of local flair with their open mics and trivia nights. I went on a Thursday evening to check out the open mic night and was underwhelmed. Nothing about The Living Room really stood out to me. I like the décor but it reminds me a lot of Dada's or Bizarre except not as kitschy or unique because you can see all the same items at your local target. I did love all the bookcases and couches which made it feel really warm and inviting. I ordered the crab cakes that came with on top of a bed of salad and a side of this delicious pasta salad which was the highlight of my meal. The crab cake was typical, nothing extraordinary. I can't say I even remember what it tastes like other than a simple crab cake. At Bizarre, their crab cakes were so delicious, I've had to make special trips just for it. Nothing at The Living Room stood out. My fiancé had the fish and chips which were just okay. The breading was falling apart not soon after it was served. It became soggy quickly. Our waiter was great, no complaints about service. We had a small meal and the ticket came out to over 60 dollars for 2 beers, spinach and artichoke dip, a crab cake, extra side of the delicious orzo salad, and fish and chips. I think the prices are a bit excessive so I'm unsure if I would return. We love supporting local businesses and I may come back for drinks during trivia night or open mic night. I'll make sure to have dinner before I arrive.

Would have given 5 stars except I found it to be very pricey. The atmosphere is outstanding, especially for a date. The live music is okay and food is good. The outdoor seating...well, they made the best out of what they had to work with......you're sitting in the middle of a shopping center plaza overlooking the parking lot which they attempted to make it more cozy....which I have to admit...they did a pretty good job. I'd go back!

Comfortable and cozy setting.Cheerfully accepted our Groupon. Friendly and efficient service. Decent menu options and extensive list of wines by the glass. Fairly priced. Entrees were nicely presented and a notch above pub fare. Peanut butter pie was incredible. Throw in Patrick on acoustical guitar and it added up to a nice evening. We willl return and make reservations so next time we'll score one of the more private areas. Thankfully no tv's. Chatted with Lisa the owner on the way out. Very charming and friendly.

Definitely the spot to go to take your significant other or a small group of friends. Went for lunch with a friend who was visiting me and she loved it! Lets just say she's more interested, thanks Living Room. All jokes aside, the staff is very homie which compliments the ambience which is also homie with there mismatch sofas, love-seats and other decor. I love the spinach dip there and my 'friend' ordered chicken sandwich which we had no problem devouring! They Open Mic on Thursday night with locals either playing music or reciting poems/spoken word. Great wine selection and you will leave there overall satisfied, if not awaiting anxiously for your next experience at The Living Room.

Cute place, real fun atmosphere. Apparently they have different featured nights (quiz nights, wine nights, psychic nights, folk band shows...). I had the scottish meat pie which had a real great gravy, but the pastry wasn't full up. My sister in law had fries which were okay. My boyfriend had mac and cheese which was good. We shared a bread and butter which was just bread and butter (the butter was really too cold and tasted a little like fridge, but the bread was decent enough). That said, it was all still much more palatable than some of the other stuff you find in these 'settled' pockets of South Florida. We were the last ones in the restaurant prior to closing and the chef came and talked to us. He was very sweet and told us a little about the restaurant. We look forward to returning for decent food and the nice atmosphere.

I was very excited to try this place out after reading all the reviews on yelp. It was a friends birthday last night and his girlfriend set up a lil surprise party for him at the Living Room. Perfect. I was excited to try something different. I love anything not a chain and I had high hopes and expectations for this place. Upon walking in I wasn't blown away. It is decorated very cute and cozy but I was expecting something a little more dark and edgy. Many pictures on the wall I've seen at target. We settled into a long table for our party of 20. I started off with the Peach Sangria. I was presented with something peach in color but tasted more like strawberry juice. No good. We started our order with the spinach dip. We were presented with a black burnt edge bowl filled with a hot cheese mixture with a layer of oil on top. Again no good. We decided to give the place one more try and ordered the Bangers and Mash to split for dinner. This was at least decently flavored and cooked. It was an average tasting dinner, I wasn't blown away. The only thing that saved the Living Room from getting two stars is that it is a cute cozy place to hang out. The beer selection was rather nice with imports and microbrews and organics. If it weren't so far from my house I would go there more often just for beer and to relax and play a game of domino's....but not eat.

If you don't look for it, you might miss it. This restaurant is very unique. They have something fun and cozy in different "living rooms" to sit and look at when dining and/or drinking there. There was a local band that was playing, which lasted until about 11 p.m. I went there with a couple of girlfriends not anticipating to eat, but I ended up trying the gourmet salad. I originally asked for ceasar salad, but the waiter must of misheard me. I didn't complain about it though since the salad was good with the apples in it. I happen to have a glass of sangria that was good. They didn't sell it by the pitcher there, which it was kinda of surprising. We would of literally drank the whole thing if they would of offered it. I got a little too comfortable and I almost fell asleep on the couch that I was sitting on. I love relaxation and this place is simply warming. My friend had the steak and mushroom pie and she said it was really delicious. I may have to try that when I return. We noticed that they have events going on every night of the week. Tuesday is unlimited wine night for 15 bucks. Not bad! I may also try the wine ice cream next time. Who would of ever thought of that? You have to be 21 in order to get it...nuts :)

Well I had a Groupon so thought I would take my sister and mom to check the place out. As soon as we walked in we just loved the decor and as we sat there the whole evening you felt like you were somewhere else not in Boynton Beach. We ordered the Mac and cheese, the tomato bisque in the sourdough bread bowl and the pork chop dinner. My sister and I loved the bisque and Mac and cheese. There was so much to choose from look forward to going back and trying some of the other choices. We chose not to try the peanut butter pie this time. We did try the baked milky way. It was ok. We went around 6 when it was still light out and was pleasantly surprised as we walked outside to see a small fire pit located in the center of the tables outside. If it was alittle warmer outside would have liked to sit outside. The prices I didn't think were too bad about average. Didn't have any wine tonight but will get a glass next time. I suggest you try it out for something different.

Love this place. Has great atmosphere, love that the owner goes in super early to cook all her meals fresh. Never had a bad dish here. Wine list is a bit skimpy (well lots of options, but not the best options). Staff is super friendly. I try to go as often as I can. Great little neighborhood place to meet and hang out with friends.

My colleagues and I went back this year and had the great luck of eating here three times in five days, one of them lunch, which we did not do last time. The lunch I had was a pecorino pizza, excellent, and my colleagues had a club sandwich and curry dish, respectively, which were specials that day, and were very satisfied. One evening we went back to our tried and true appetizers--gorgonzola chips, duck drumettes, and coconut shrimp--and were on our way to another splendid, if overstuffed, meal. I had the stuffed chicken, another one had a vindaloo curry veggie thing, and the third person has a special of the night, which was a portobello en croute, stuffed with all sorts of stuff--he said it tasted like a prime rib. He also went the distance and destroyed a slice of peanut butter pie, which I and my other companion eschewed since we were stuffed already. Two bottles of Cupcake Chardonnay, extremely attentive service, and we waddled out. On our last night, a Sunday, we wandered in looking for a beef fix--I have to admit it was because even though The Living Room only occasionally serves read meat specials, the other nearby restaurants that featured steak were jammed. So, we ordered a spinach and artichoke dip (special request granted) to share since we did not want to overstuff ourselves again), and settled for the special, lobster and crab crepes. EXCEPT....the waitress had not realized they were out of that special (mad rush at brunch, no doubt), and the owner, Lisa, came by and apologized and said she had substituded prime rib instead. "Substituted?" was the overjoyed cry from the three of us. We were served an extraordinary cut each, cooked to our orders (just pastmon) antopt o al fwh two bottles of Portillo Malbec. So what if we waddled out again. Tried and true, never fails to please, best thing in Boynton, salud!

I went there the other week and the food was meh. Really overpriced and just not all that special. The beer selection wasn't that impressive either. The staff were very friendly though!! It's got a cool atmosphere (hence the name Living Room) and I did enjoy the band that was playing there that night.

Called in for a to-go order. They refused to take my order, stating they were too busy. Very sad, since I'm right next door at the Courtyard.

The owner wrote me after I posted, and explained some things that I was upset about. I will hopefully go back and try it one more time, and will update the review then :-)

My husband and I finally made it to Living Room and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was well portioned, delicious and filling (love, love, love the Mac & cheese). Love the relaxed setting of the different living rooms and the live music. Will definitely be back.

What a great quaint place located in a run down shopping plaza in Boynton. Good food and cozy atmosphere make for a relaxing evening with friends. Staff is friendly and live music sets the mood. Recommend this place!

Hear great things about the LIVING ROOM in Boynton Beach. Cool music, mellow, etc...As PROMISED I said I would UPDATE this review after coming to the LIVING ROOM in Boynton Beach, FL off Gateway and Congress in SAME plaza as MARSHALLS. Easy to find, FUN lively music and perfect arrangement of "living" areas. Tables spaced just right. Enjoyed the ambient lighting and the evening entertainment that my new Facebook friends Steve & Jody, who prepared Sara and I beforehand...Jason's talent on guitar and vocals for Cat Stevens, James Taylor and more was just right to cap off the week. Sure we'll return again and again. Thanks Lisa for a great time! The servers were SPOT on with a comfy level of service too! Gave you LOTS of stars and know you'll please us some more. Can't wait for some new additions to your menu. Also sent you a message thru Yelp too! Have a great day LIVING ROOM!

My wife finally found the Living Room and suggested we go there on our Thursday night, "date night." I've been reading about TLR for a year or so and finally made it. I called to confirm when making a reservation that they had entertainment (required for date night) and it was an open mike kind of thing. The mixed seating of sofas, tables, and a unique atmosphere make this a place to see. Then, the food: We shared two appetizers - a baked brie with raspberry sauce served with fruit and crackers, and some meatballs. House Merlot was satisfactory ( I don't know much more about wine other than it comes in a few colors) and surprisingly reasonable in price. I'm not a vegetarian, but my daughter is, and frankly, I should be. I had the mushroom (portabella) in pastry shell with tomato and other sauces was oustanding. The entertainment was fun with a few singers and guitar players. Perhaps later there were more. We arrived at 7 and left by 8:30. A delightful assortment of patrons and, nice to be one of the older persons in the restaurant (it's Boynton, after all!) There were clearly other date night patrons and the menu, ambiance, and entertainment, make TLR a fun romantic venue. We'll go back with friends now that we've tested the waters. Also, server(s) were quite efficient and nothing was rushed. Again, kind of a surprise to find this place in a shopping mall in Boynton!

Stopped in twice in the last 10 days. Always fun people to meet and chat with. I was alone both times, just finishing longs days of work. And every time I was about to go, someone kept me interested. The wine is reasonably priced ($15 on all you can drink Tuesday) and I love the food. It's unusual and yet feels like home cooked. I've had dates here and it's just the perfect place. Live music but not in your face and tons of romantic lighting and ambiance to set the mood. I think I'm due for another date night at Living Room Boynton Beach!

If you are looking for a hang out with friends in your 'living room' but don't want to cook, it's nice. The only thing is, it's not a regular restaurant experience so you're going to be waiting a long time to eat and if you're cool with a 3-4 hour experience then that's great. The food was so/so, was a bit pricey.

Cute and cozy living room like atmosphere. Very eclectic. Food is ok. I personally think their menu needs some help. I did enjoy their spinach dip!

So I stopped in last night, after an early happy hour. Looking to score some tasty eats and good drinks...tonight choice would be red wine...although you can not go wrong with the fine selection of draft beers by Cigar City Brewing from Tampa...Needless to say i was able to enjoy some very good wine...the tasty treats was out due to an hour and half wait...so i ordered it to go...the hanger steak which was superb, the spiniach dip to die for...and yes 2 slices of peanut butter pie. one for after dinner and the other for breakfast in the morning.

Great spot to chill with friends or have a date night. Staff is very personable, but don't come here if you are in a rush. This is a laid back environment, which I love. Cool fire pits out front, and to say the least a very interesting decor inside. They have very comfortable couches for you to enjoy those inexpensive bottles of wine on. Food is pretty average, but the prices are good. Will be back soon.

I'm a pastry chef at a five star resort on Palm Beach Island and I have never been so disrespected by a restaurant owner in my life. Let me state that the ONLY reason we stayed was for a girlfriend of mine to write a review for her website. I had called to make a reservation on Saturday around 3 for 645. If a reservation could not have been held I should have received a phone call back, but did not. We were running late, and I tried calling the restaurant, but it just rang twice and went silent. I gave the hostess my name and a minute later the owner comes up waving her hand in my face saying first of all you did not have a reservation, (still waving her hand) second of all if your going to be late call. Well, third of all, I will be sure to mention to everyone, chef, food critic, friends and family to never step foot into The Living Room. I think you should have checked your rude attitude at the door before you treated a group of ladies whom could've been extremely loyal customers. It's a shame, because the food is relatively good, but Gorgonzola chips don't outweigh the treatment that I received on Saturday.

This place is so cute and cozy!! We were there on a Thursday night (open mic night) and truly enjoyed our evening having good food and listening to different people sing/play. I am definitely a fan. If any of you girls or guys know of a clothing store called Anthropologie, it sort of feels like the extension of that place :)

This place is a bit of a gem crammed into a dark corner of a dying shopping plaza. I'll admit service can be hit or miss depending on the day of the week. Went one Sunday, place was empty and took forever. Went during the week right as dinner service started and had the owner personally come over and chat with us. Like most places it has its on and off days. The decor and feel of the place is like someone took a restaurant out of Williamsburg and plopped it in South Florida. Food is good, though it can be a bit pricey. The Pomme Frittes are to kill for, and the Brie plate is very good. My only real issue is it is a wine bar, so if you prefer beer or a cocktail you're not going to find it. Though if you are a wine fan they do ample tasting and live events to really let you try a lot if you sign up for their email list.

What a cool place! I just moved to the area and had searched the internets for a cool place near my house to have some wine and listen to some live music. Based on the reviews of my fellow Yelpers, I decided to give The Living Room a try. It was great! Personal service from Lisa, the owner, great food and house wines by Coastal Vines, groovy tunes, and an even groovier atmosphere. I will definitely be returning. 4/5 stars, only because it was a little pricy....but definitely worth it.

From the moment I walked in.. I was in LOVE. The atmosphere is beautiful. I told the woman (who later appeared to be the owner, black dress curly blonde hair) that I seen them on Groupon.. and wanted to just take a look at the menu. We decided to stay and eat. They had great music playing, which was one of my favorite parts. The only part that my boyfriend and I were dissapointed in... was the lady that seemed to be the owner. She was obviously drunk, and continuously walking around with a glass of wine in her hand. At one point we watched the expeditor have to walk her outside to talk to her. Then when I presented my Groupon she tried to tell me that I had to buy it 24 hours in advance, because she makes no money off it. Groupon gets all the money, and restaurants are starting to get mad because people purchase Groupons while in the restaurant, and then tell everyone else in the restaurant to do that, so obviously all restaurants are getting mad. So that was really annoying. Then she acted like she was doing ME a service by saying "Well I will go ahead and honor this for you this time..." The next thing was the food. My boyfriend and I actually laughed at the portions. TINY TINY TINY. We decided if we are hungry and want DINNER, this is NOT the place to go! Maybe for an appetizer, just hanging out.. but not for dinner! So.. the decoration, and vibe is GREAT, Music Great. Food.. EH. Owner.. Needs Rehab. I actually felt bad for her. She was all in my face too with her wine breath! Yuck!!

Had to check out this place. Never heard of it until I read reviews on yelp. This is such a cool place to just hang out, have a few drinks, get some appetizers. They have live music and very good food. I had the fish and chips, and it was prepared perfectly. The menu wasn't huge, but it had a little bit of everything. This place is worth checking out on it's coolness factor alone, but don't miss out on the food.

I went to dinner with family and despite being seated and served drinks promptly, the food took over an hour to arrive. When we inquired politely about it, the host seemed to be very unapologetic, relaying to our parents that they were very busy. The atmosphere was clouded by the music. It was too boomy and loud, making it hard to talk amongst ourselves; The restaurant appeared to be more concerned with the large party of 20 people. The food: the spinach salad with grape, feta, (and chicken) with raspberry dressing was quite flavorful! It's a safe bet if you are unsure of what to order. The seafood crepe was delicious! The inside was constructed very delicately and the crab was spot on. However, the sauce on top was a bit bland. The Brie appetizer is a must here! It has fruit and crackers- something for everyone; the raspberry sauce compliments the brie's gooeyness and flavor! Overall: the review would have been better if the service was not so terrible, the prices-to-food portion ratio were high!

I have been to the Living room a few times now. The atmosphere is cute and cozy and interesting. It's definitely more of a place to go to for the atmoshphere, maybe to hang out and have a couple of drinks. I would not recommend going to the Living Room for food. The portions are mostly very tiny and overpriced. I have never been offended by the size of chips and dip before...but there were literally maybe 5 chips and a tiny bit of spinach dip. I thought it was a mistake or maybe this was just my portion...the rest will come. I know the economy is bad but come on...5 chips...really? But even though this was on the "share" menu part...that's all you get. Not worth the price. The spinach dip itself just tasted like it was frozen and thawed and put in the microwave for a few minutes. I ordered the fish and chips for the main dinner. The fish was ok, nothing impressive. There was a lot of batter and it was very oily. Overall - I would only recommend this place to get drinks and to enjoy a different atmosphere. Then get dinner somewhere else.
